Agata May’kowska, born in Poland in 1980, has lived in Mercer County, New Jersey since 2005. A partially blind artist with limited eyesight and a deeply generous heart, she is known for creating spaces where people genuinely connect—through laughter, tears, and the sharing of deeply personal stories. That same heart is woven through her art, as well as her life in her family, church, and community.

Agata’s journey as an artist began through her own healing while recovering from complex PTSD. Over time, that journey transformed into one of joy, praise, prayer, and a growing desire to use her gift to build others up in love and to glorify God. Losing part of her eyesight in 2020 only deepened the emotion and texture of her work, leading her into more complex and mature pieces, especially visible in her Atelier Collection. Rediscovering that her art was always more about heart than sight, she leaned boldly into richly layered textures of fabric, metal, glass, paper, and more.

Locally sought after, Agata has many collectors who often return after their first purchase to continue building their own collection of her work. She is also a grandmother to twins, a published author, and currently at work on another book. Her art remains an expression of love, healing, truth, and the beauty of a life shaped by God’s grace.
